About the Turbo Pod Platform (TPP)
TPP stands for Turbo Pod Platform, Voopoo's higher-wattage pod system designed specifically for sub-ohm and DTL vaping. The platform launched alongside the Drag 3 and Drag X Plus and uses a much larger pod chamber and higher-output mesh coils than the brand's PnP and PnP-X platforms. Where PnP-X coils sit in the 0.15-1.0 ohm range and target everything from MTL through to RDL, TPP coils are designed for DTL clouds with TPP-DM1 0.15 ohm, TPP-DM2 0.2 ohm and TPP-DM4 0.3 ohm options dominating the lineup.
The TPP pod is constructed from PCTG food-grade plastic with a tinted body so you can check e-liquid levels at a glance. The pod attaches to the device via strong magnets, and a press-fit coil installation makes coil swaps quick: pull the spent coil out, push a fresh one in, fill, and vape. The supplied 510 base adapter (included with the original Drag X Plus and Drag 3 kits) lets you convert the TPP pod into a standalone TPP Pod Tank for use with any 510-threaded box mod.
Compatible Voopoo kits
The TPP pod on this page fits the original Voopoo Drag 3 (177W dual 18650 box mod) and the Voopoo Drag X Plus (100W single 21700). Both kits ship with the TPP pod and its 510 base adapter so the pod can be used either as a magnetic-fit pod on the kit or as a 510-threaded standalone tank on a separate mod. The pod does not fit the newer Drag S Pro or Drag X Pro kits, which use the updated TPP-X pod with a side-fill silicone-stoppered design and a slightly different magnetic profile.
TPP mesh coil compatibility
The TPP pod accepts the full Voopoo TPP mesh coil range, all stocked on our TPP mesh replacement coils page. The three current coil options cover the sub-ohm range:
TPP-DM1 0.15 ohm is the cloud-focused coil, rated 60-80W and aimed at DTL vapers running high VG shortfills. Produces large vapour output with a warm, full-bodied flavour profile.
TPP-DM2 0.2 ohm sits in the middle of the range, rated 40-60W. A solid all-round DTL coil that balances flavour clarity with vapour production.
TPP-DM4 0.3 ohm is the lower-power DTL or RDL option, rated 32-40W. Less cloud, more flavour focus, and the longest-lasting of the three coils for everyday use at moderate wattage.
Bottom-fill refill design
TPP pods refill via a silicone seal at the bottom of the pod. Remove the pod from the device, lift the seal at the base, drip your e-liquid through the fill port, and replace the seal. The bottom-fill design keeps the top of the pod clean (no fill port near the mouthpiece) but it does mean you need to remove the pod from the device for refills, unlike top-fill platforms. The seal also acts as a leak guard, keeping e-liquid contained even when the pod is held inverted during refilling.
TPP vs PnP: which pod system do I have?
TPP and PnP are two separate Voopoo coil and pod platforms. They are not cross-compatible, so a TPP coil will not fit a PnP pod and vice versa. TPP is the high-wattage sub-ohm platform used in the Drag 3, Drag X Plus and original TPP Pod Tank. PnP and PnP-X are the broader-range platforms used across Drag X3, Drag S3, Argus and Vinci kits, covering everything from sub-ohm DTL through to tight MTL. Which kits do TPP pods fit?
The TPP pod fits the Voopoo Drag 3 and the Voopoo Drag X Plus, both of which ship with the TPP pod and a 510 base adapter as standard. The pod can also be used as a standalone TPP Pod Tank on any 510-threaded box mod when the adapter is fitted. It does not fit the newer Drag S Pro or Drag X Pro kits, which use the updated TPP-X pod design.
Are the coils included with TPP pods?
No. TPP pods are sold empty without a coil pre-installed. You'll need a separate TPP mesh coil (DM1 0.15 ohm, DM2 0.2 ohm or DM4 0.3 ohm) to use the pod. All TPP coils are stocked on our TPP mesh coils page. Coils press-fit into the base of the pod.
What is the difference between TPP and PnP pods?
TPP is the high-wattage sub-ohm platform used by the Drag 3 and Drag X Plus. TPP coils are exclusively sub-ohm DTL options (0.15-0.3 ohm). PnP and PnP-X are the broader Voopoo coil platforms used across Drag X3, Drag S3, Argus and Vinci kits, covering 0.15-1.0 ohm for everything from DTL clouds to tight MTL. The two platforms are not cross-compatible.
How do I refill a TPP pod?
TPP pods refill from the bottom. Remove the pod from the device, lift the silicone seal at the base, drip your e-liquid through the fill port until it reaches the maximum line, and replace the seal firmly. Wait five to ten minutes after refilling so the coil has time to wick fully before vaping, particularly with new coils.
What e-liquid works best with TPP pods?
High VG e-liquid at 70 VG / 30 PG or higher works best with TPP coils. The sub-ohm 0.15 and 0.2 ohm coils need the higher VG content to wick effectively at high wattages and to produce the cloud volume the platform is designed for. Nic salts at 50/50 ratios are not the best match here; for nic salt vaping, the PnP-X platform is a better choice. Lower nicotine strengths (3mg or 6mg) are typically more comfortable at TPP wattages.
Can I use a TPP pod as a standalone tank?
Yes. With the 510 base adapter (included originally with the Drag 3 and Drag X Plus kits), the TPP pod becomes a standalone TPP Pod Tank that fits any 510-threaded box mod. Voopoo originally designed the platform this way deliberately, so the same pod and coils can be used across multiple devices. The 510 adapter is not included with replacement pods on this page; you'll need to keep the original adapter from your kit.
How long does a TPP pod last?
The pod itself typically lasts four to six weeks of regular use before the wicking ports start to look discoloured and a replacement is recommended. The TPP coil inside the pod is replaced more frequently, usually every one to two weeks depending on wattage and e-liquid type. Sweet or dessert e-liquids tend to gunk coils faster than fruit or menthol blends.
