About the Voopoo Argus Matrix
The Argus Matrix is the most visually distinctive kit in the Argus line and Voopoo's first pod kit to feature a wraparound curved full-screen display. The chassis is built around a zinc alloy frame finished in iridescent IML coating that shifts colour subtly at different angles, and the front and side panels host the dynamic lighting effects that give the kit its "cyber" identity.
Functionally, the Matrix sits in the middle of the Argus range. It's more powerful and more feature-rich than the entry-level Argus Z2 but less complex than the touchscreen Argus G3. A 1350mAh built-in battery and 30W output handle full-day vaping comfortably, and the Argus V2 pod platform gives you broad coil compatibility across the wider Argus ecosystem. Smart Mode reads the pod resistance automatically and sets the wattage to suit, but you can flip into manual RBA Mode at any point if you want to fine-tune.
Curved full-screen display and dynamic lighting
The headline feature is the curved screen. It wraps from the front face of the device around to the side, removing the usual border between the display and the chassis and giving you a wider viewing angle than a flat panel allows. A silvery digital readout shows wattage, battery status and puff duration in clear contrast against the iridescent finish.
The dynamic lighting is the other half of the design story. Circuit-board-style channels run from the base of the device up to a visible Power Core chip, and they animate when the device wakes, when you insert a pod, when you fire, and when you charge. The effect looks like internal circuitry coming to life, which is exactly the cyberpunk aesthetic Voopoo was aiming for. There is no menu to disable the lighting, but the device dims to lock state automatically when not in use.
30W output and Smart Mode
The Argus Matrix runs on the GENE AI 2.0 chipset and delivers 10-30W of adjustable output. Smart Mode is the default behaviour: the device reads the resistance of the fitted Argus V2 pod (typically 0.4 ohm or 0.7 ohm) and sets the wattage to a sensible starting point automatically. RBA Mode unlocks full manual wattage control via the side buttons, which is useful if you want a slightly cooler MTL hit or a slightly warmer RDTL pull than the default. Charging is handled through USB-C at 5V/2A, with a full charge typically taking 45 to 60 minutes.
Argus V2 pod compatibility
The kit ships with two Argus V2 top-fill pods (0.4 ohm for RDTL and 0.7 ohm for MTL), each with a 2ml UK TPD-compliant capacity and a built-in mesh coil. iCOSM Code 2.0 is the engineering inside the Argus V2 pod. The technology combines a precision-engineered mesh coil, multi-layer cotton wicking and a balanced airflow path designed to keep the e-liquid's full aroma intact across the life of the pod. Voopoo rates the V2 pods for around 30 days of pod cleanness, with each pod handling roughly 100ml of e-liquid before flavour drops off and a replacement is needed. The same system also reduces leakage by keeping the air inlet path away from the e-liquid chamber.

How long does the Argus Matrix battery last?
Battery life depends on the pod resistance and wattage. With the 0.7 ohm pod at MTL wattages, most adult vapers see a full day of regular use from the 1350mAh battery. Can I turn off the dynamic lighting?
No, the lighting effects are a fixed part of the device's design and cannot be disabled through a menu. They activate on power-up, when you insert a pod, when you fire and when charging. The lighting dims and the device locks automatically when not in use, so the device doesn't keep glowing while in a pocket or bag.
How do I refill the Argus Matrix pod?
Lift the silicone stopper on the top of the pod, drip your e-liquid below the maximum line, and press the stopper firmly back into place. The pod can stay clicked into the device throughout the process. Wait five to ten minutes after refilling so the coil has time to wick fully before the first puff, particularly with new pods.
Is the Argus Matrix good for beginners?
Yes. Smart Mode auto-selects the wattage when you insert a pod, the airflow is adjusted via a single side slider, and you can fire by inhaling or by pressing the button. There are no menus to navigate. The cyber styling and dynamic lighting are the differentiator, but the underlying experience is one of the simpler refillable pod kits to live with day-to-day.
What e-liquid works best with the Argus Matrix?
