About the Voopoo Argus G3
The Argus G3 is the long-runtime flagship of the Argus pod kit range. It carries the largest battery in the slim-format Argus line at 1500mAh, gives you 5-30W of adjustable output, and pairs that with a 0.96-inch TFT colour screen for clear visibility of wattage, battery and puff count. Build quality is zinc alloy and PC, weighted to feel solid in the hand without becoming heavy.
Functionally, the G3 sits at the practical end of the Argus range. The Argus Z2 below it strips the screen out for entry-level simplicity. The Argus Matrix beside it swaps the conventional TFT screen for a curved cyber-style display with dynamic lighting. The G3 takes the middle ground: long battery life, clear conventional screen, three theme modes, and the same Argus V2 pod platform as the Matrix for shared consumables.
1500mAh battery and up to 5 days of MTL use
The 1500mAh built-in battery is the standout practical feature, comfortably the largest in the slim-format Argus pod kit line. At MTL wattages between 10 and 14W with a 0.7 ohm pod, most adult vapers see up to five days of battery life from a single charge. RDTL use at higher wattages with a 0.4 ohm pod brings that down to two or three days, which is still longer than most pod kits at this size. USB-C 5V/2A fast charging brings the device back to full in around 45 minutes.
0.96" TFT screen and three display themes
The 0.96-inch TFT colour screen is one of the largest you'll find on a slim pod kit and gives you full visibility of the key vaping stats: wattage, battery percentage, pod resistance and puff count. Three display themes ship with the device: Smart Mode for clean information-first layout, Sport Mode for a more graphical animated readout and Music Mode with audio-reactive visualisation. Two of the three themes include subtle on-screen animation. Theme selection is handled through the side button menu without any need to connect the device to an app.
30W output and GENE AI 2.0 chipset
The Argus G3 runs the GENE AI 2.0 chipset and delivers 5W to 30W adjustable output. Smart wattage detection reads the resistance of the pod you've fitted (typically 0.4, 0.7, 1.0 or 1.2 ohm) and automatically sets a safe starting wattage to suit. Drop in a 1.2 ohm MTL pod and the chipset eases the power down. Snap in a 0.4 ohm RDTL pod and it pushes the wattage up. You can override the auto-setting at any time using the side button to fine-tune the wattage manually within the safe range for that pod.
Argus V2 pods and iCOSM Code 2.0
The kit ships with the Argus V2 top-fill pod platform, the same platform used in the Argus Matrix. Each 2ml UK TPD-compliant pod has a built-in mesh coil and refills via a silicone-stoppered fill port at the top. The pod doesn't need to come out of the device to refill: lift the stopper, fill, replace the stopper, vape.
iCOSM Code 2.0 is the wicking and coil engineering inside each V2 pod. The system combines a precision mesh coil with multi-layer cotton and a sealed leak-resistant chamber. Voopoo rates the V2 pods for around 30 days of pod cleanness with up to 100ml of e-liquid endurance per pod. The pod range covers 0.4 ohm (RDTL), 0.7 ohm (MTL or RDTL), 1.0 ohm and 1.2 ohm (tight MTL). All replacements are stocked on our consolidated Argus replacement pods page.
Adjustable airflow and inhale activation
Airflow on the G3 is handled via a single side slider with a smooth stepless travel between fully open RDTL and tightly restricted MTL. There are no fixed click positions, so you can dial the draw to exactly where you want it. The device fires on inhale by default, but you can also fire by pressing the side button if you prefer button activation. The dual fire mode means new vapers can stick with the simpler inhale-to-vape behaviour while experienced users can use the button for finer control.

Argus G3: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the Argus G3 and the Argus Matrix?
Both kits use Argus V2 pods, both run on the GENE AI 2.0 chipset and both top out at 30W. The Argus G3 has a larger 1500mAh battery, a conventional 0.96-inch TFT screen with three theme modes, and a more understated finish. The Argus Matrix has a smaller 1350mAh battery but adds a curved full-screen display, dynamic cyber-style lighting effects and an iridescent IML chassis treatment.
How long does the Argus G3 battery last?
The 1500mAh battery is one of the longest-lasting in the slim pod kit category. At MTL wattages with a 0.7 ohm pod, most adult vapers see up to five days of regular use between charges. RDTL use at higher wattages with a 0.4 ohm pod brings that down to two or three days. USB-C 5V/2A fast charging fills the battery in around 45 minutes.
Which pods fit the Argus G3?
The Argus G3 is built around the Argus V2 top-fill pod platform and accepts every Argus V2 pod resistance (0.4, 0.7, 1.0 and 1.2 ohm). The wider Argus pod family is also compatible. All replacements are listed on our consolidated Argus replacement pods page covering the full Argus V1, V2 and E40 ecosystem.
What are Smart Mode, Sport Mode and Music Mode?
These are the three display themes available through the device's menu. Smart Mode shows a clean information-first layout with battery, wattage and puff count laid out simply. Sport Mode uses a more graphical animated readout. Music Mode runs an audio-reactive visualisation. The vaping behaviour is identical across all three; only the screen graphics change.
Is the Argus G3 a coil change or a pod change device?
The Argus G3 uses pod-changes, not coil-changes. The mesh coil is built into each Argus V2 pod and is replaced as a single unit when the pod's flavour drops off. There are no separate coil heads to install or remove. Pods are rated for around 30 days of use and roughly 100ml of e-liquid before replacement.
Can I use nic salts in the Argus G3?
Yes. The Argus G3 is designed around nic salts and 50/50 PG/VG e-liquids, particularly when paired with the higher-resistance pods (0.7 ohm, 1.0 ohm or 1.2 ohm) for an MTL draw. The 0.4 ohm pod also accepts higher VG freebase e-liquids for a warmer RDTL draw.
Is the Argus G3 affected by the UK disposable vape ban?
No. The Argus G3 is a refillable pod kit with a rechargeable battery, not a disposable. The pods are refillable, the battery is rechargeable via USB-C, and replacement pods are sold separately, so it sits well outside the disposable vape ban and is built for long-term reuse.
