About the Vaporesso XROS Pro pod kit
The XROS Pro introduced several features that were firsts for the XROS series when it launched. It was the first XROS device with a screen, the first to include a 0.4 ohm pod, the first with adjustable wattage in 0.5W increments, and the first to bring Super Pulse mode to an XROS pod kit. These features subsequently appeared in newer XROS generations. The XROS Pro remains a strong everyday device for vapers who prefer a slightly more hands-on vaping experience with explicit wattage control.
The 0.42 inch OLED screen behaves differently depending on the pod installed. With the 0.4 ohm pod, it shows exact wattage, puff count and battery level. With all other pods (0.6 to 1.2 ohm), wattage display is replaced by mode indicator showing ECO, Normal or Power. Super Pulse mode works across all pod resistances, adjusting output to compensate for battery depletion so performance stays consistent through the day. The lock switch on the side prevents the button from firing accidentally in a pocket while still allowing draw activation.

What is the difference between the XROS Pro and the XROS Pro 2?
The XROS Pro 2 has a significantly larger 2000mAh battery versus the Pro's 1200mAh, uses aerospace-grade magnesium alloy construction making it 30% lighter at 65g versus 86g, and ships with COREX 3.0 pods compared to the Pro's COREX 2.0 pods. The Pro 2 also has a larger 0.96 inch TFT colour screen versus the Pro's 0.42 inch OLED. Both have Super Pulse mode, draw and button activation, a lock switch and full XROS pod compatibility. The XROS Pro remains a solid choice at a lower price point for vapers who do not need the Pro 2's extended battery.
Why does the screen on the XROS Pro behave differently with different pods?
The XROS Pro screen shows exact wattage in 0.5W increments only when the 0.4 ohm pod is installed, because that is the only resistance where precise wattage adjustment up to 30W is available. With all other pods (0.6 to 1.2 ohm), the device switches to a three-stage mode system showing ECO, Normal or Power instead of a wattage value. This is the same approach used on many Vaporesso pod kits — precise wattage control for the loosest RDTL draw, and simpler mode selection for MTL pods.
Can I use COREX 3.0 pods in the XROS Pro?
Yes. COREX 3.0 pods are fully compatible with the XROS Pro and all other XROS devices from the XROS 3 generation onwards. The kit ships with COREX 2.0 pods but upgrading to COREX 3.0 replacement pods will give improved flavour and longer pod life on the same device.
