Each side fill cartridge is sold individually and holds 2ml of e-liquid in line with UK TPD limits, with a built-in mesh coil. Pick the resistance that matches the inhale style you want.

Resistance Vape style
0.4 ohm Loose RDL, warm draw, 25W max output
0.6 ohm Restricted DL, balance of vapour and flavour
0.9 ohm Smooth MTL, ideal for nic salts
1.2 ohm Tight cigarette-style MTL, lowest wattage

About Caliburn GPP side fill pods

The side fill format moves the refill port from the cap of the pod to a discreet rubber-plugged opening on the side of the pod body. The result is a faster, lower-friction refill: lift the plug, insert the bottle nozzle, fill, replace the plug. The mouthpiece stays untouched, the airflow path is never disturbed, and there's nothing to line up or click back into place at the top of the pod.

Inside, the build is identical to the top fill range. A built-in FeCrAl mesh coil heats evenly across its surface, which improves flavour clarity and helps the pod resist dry hits. Each pod accepts 2ml of e-liquid and clicks into the device magnetically. Most adult vapers find a side fill pod lasts between one and two weeks of regular use before flavour starts to drop off and the pod needs replacing.

Why pick side fill over top fill?

The choice between side fill and top fill is preference, not performance. Side fill suits vapers who want the quickest possible refill in everyday use, particularly on the go where lifting a cap and aligning it back can feel fiddly. The fill port is sealed by a tight rubber plug rather than a removable cap, which some vapers find less likely to leak in pockets and bags. Side fill is also useful if you switch between e-liquid flavours regularly, since the pod stays seated in the device the whole time.

Side fill in every resistance

Some retailers only carry side fill in the higher-resistance MTL pods, which forces vapers to switch refill format if they want a looser RDL draw. The e-liquids.com side fill range covers every resistance from 0.4 ohm through to 1.2 ohm, so you can stay on side fill across the full Caliburn vape style spectrum. The mesh coil, anti-leak build and 2ml capacity are the same across all four. Only the wattage range and draw tightness change.

Compatible Caliburn devices

GPP side fill pods fit every G3, G4 and G5 series Caliburn kit, including the touchscreen Caliburn G4 Pro and the entry-level G5 Lite range. They are backwards compatible with older G3 series devices and forward-compatible with new GPP-platform Caliburn kits. If your kit uses GPP pods, the cartridges on this page fit it.

PRO-FOCS 4.0 and U-squared anti-leak technology

Two pieces of Uwell engineering sit inside every GPP cartridge, side fill or top fill. PRO-FOCS 4.0 is the latest generation of Uwell's flavour-tuning system, designed to keep the e-liquid's full aroma intact across the life of the pod. U-squared anti-leak technology combines ultrasonic welding with a U-shaped airflow channel inside the pod body. The combination is rated by Uwell for 150 percent better leak resistance than the older Caliburn G3 platform, and on the side fill range the rubber-plugged port adds a second seal at the refill point.

Caliburn GPP side fill pods: frequently asked questions

How do I refill a GPP side fill pod?

Pull the rubber plug out of the side fill port on the body of the pod, insert the nozzle of your e-liquid bottle into the port, fill to just below the maximum line, and press the plug firmly back into place. The pod can stay clicked into your Caliburn device throughout the process. Wait a couple of minutes after refilling so the coil can wick fully before the first puff.

Are side fill GPP pods better than top fill?

Neither is better. The mesh coil, capacity and resistance options are identical across both ranges. Side fill is faster for daily refills and keeps the mouthpiece undisturbed. Top fill suits vapers who prefer lifting the cap to fill in clear sight of the level. Both pods sit on the same GPP platform and fit the same devices. Browse the top fill range here.

Which resistance side fill pod should I choose?

Pick by inhale style. The 1.2 ohm pod gives the tightest cigarette-style MTL draw and is best with higher-strength nic salts. The 0.9 ohm pod is also MTL but slightly looser. The 0.6 ohm sits between MTL and RDL with more vapour. The 0.4 ohm is the loosest, designed for a warm RDL draw at higher wattages.

Will GPP side fill pods fit my Caliburn G3?

Yes. GPP side fill pods are backwards compatible with the Caliburn G3 series, including the G3, G3 Lite, G3 Pro and G3 Pro KOKO. They have replaced the older Caliburn G3 pods as the official replacement option, with the same resistances and the same fitment.

How long does a GPP side fill pod last?

Most adult vapers get one to two weeks of regular use from a single pod before the flavour fades and the pod needs replacing. Heavier VG e-liquids and very sweet flavours can shorten coil life. Lighter 50/50 nic salts at the recommended wattage typically deliver the longest pod life.

Can the rubber plug on the side fill pod be replaced?

The plug is part of the pod and not sold as a separate spare. If the plug becomes damaged or no longer seals tightly, replace the whole pod. The plug is designed to last the full life of the pod under normal use, and the U-squared anti-leak build keeps the seal effective across multiple refills.

What e-liquid works best in GPP side fill pods?

For the 0.9 and 1.2 ohm pods, nicotine salt e-liquids in 10mg or 20mg strengths work best paired with a tight MTL draw. For the 0.4 and 0.6 ohm pods, 50/50 PG/VG nic salts or freebase e-liquids suit the looser draw and higher wattages. Very high VG e-liquids will work but tend to wick more slowly through the GPP mesh coil.
