About Aspire BVC coils
BVC stands for Bottom Vertical Coil, referring to the position and orientation of the heating element inside the coil unit. The coil sits vertically at the base of the tank rather than horizontally, which allows e-liquid to wick from all sides simultaneously for more even saturation. This design is associated with consistent flavour delivery and a low likelihood of dry hits when the tank is kept adequately filled.
Nautilus BVC coils cover a wider resistance range than the General BVC coils and are the recommended choice for Nautilus tank users. The General BVC coils at 1.6 and 1.8 ohm suit older Aspire kits that use the standard BVC connection but do not require the full Nautilus coil range. If you own a Nautilus tank, always use Nautilus BVC coils rather than General BVC coils for the best fit and performance.

Aspire BVC coils: frequently asked questions
Are Nautilus 2S coils the same as Nautilus BVC coils?
No. The Nautilus 2S uses a different coil format to the Nautilus, Nautilus 2 and Nautilus 3. Nautilus BVC coils are not compatible with the Nautilus 2S and Nautilus 2S coils are not compatible with BVC tanks. Always check which Nautilus device you own before ordering. The model number is printed on the tank or original box.
What is the difference between Nautilus BVC and General BVC coils?
Nautilus BVC coils are specifically designed for the Nautilus tank range including the Nautilus, Nautilus 2, Nautilus 2S and Nautilus 3. They are available in a wider range of resistances (0.3 to 1.8 ohm) to suit different vaping styles. General BVC coils use the same connection format and suit older Aspire MTL kits and tanks that use the standard BVC format but are not Nautilus tanks. If you own a Nautilus tank, use Nautilus BVC coils.
Which Nautilus BVC coil should I choose?
Choose the 1.8 ohm coil for the tightest, most cigarette-like MTL draw at very low wattage with 20mg nic salt. Choose the 1.6 ohm coil for a tight MTL draw at 8 to 14W with nic salt at 10mg to 20mg. Choose the 0.7 ohm coil for a slightly looser MTL to RDTL draw with 50/50 or nic salt. Choose the 0.3 ohm coil for RDTL vaping at higher wattages with freebase e-liquid. Most Nautilus users switching from cigarettes start with the 1.8 or 1.6 ohm coil.
