About the Aspire Minican 3 Pro

The Minican 3 Pro is a pen-style device, which makes it distinct from every other Aspire pod kit in this range. At 100.5mm tall and just 28.2mm wide, it is narrower and longer than the matchbox-style Gotek devices and designed to sit comfortably between two fingers like a cigarette. This form factor makes it the closest match in terms of physical feel for smokers switching to vaping.

Unlike the Gotek range, the Minican 3 Pro has an OLED screen and adjustable wattage. Pressing the power button cycles through wattage settings from 5W up to 20W. Optimal performance with the 0.8 ohm pod is at 13 to 15W. The screen shows wattage, battery level and coil resistance at a glance. There is no airflow adjustment — the draw is fixed and designed specifically for a tight MTL inhale. Vapers who need to dial in their airflow should consider the Gotek range instead.

The Minican pod uses a replaceable coil that screws into the base of the pod shell, meaning only the coil is replaced rather than the entire pod. This is a different system to the Gotek pods where the integrated coil and pod are replaced together. Minican replacement pods are also compatible with all previous Minican devices.

Aspire Minican 3 Pro: frequently asked questions

What is the difference between the Minican 3 Pro and the Gotek range?

The Minican 3 Pro is a slim pen-style device (100.5 x 28.2mm) that sits vertically between two fingers. The Gotek range uses a matchbox-style body that sits flat in the palm. The Minican 3 Pro has an OLED screen and adjustable wattage but fixed airflow. The Gotek X3 has three power modes but no wattage display. The Gotek X has no screen and no power modes but has adjustable airflow. The Minican 3 Pro suits vapers who want a cigarette-shaped device with precise wattage control. The Gotek range suits vapers who want a compact flat device with airflow flexibility.

How do you replace the coil on the Minican 3 Pro?

The Minican 3 Pro uses Minican pods with a replaceable coil. The coil screws into the base of the refillable pod shell. When the coil wears out, unscrew the old coil from the pod base, prime the new coil by dripping a few drops of e-liquid onto the cotton, screw it in, refill the pod and wait 5 minutes before vaping. The pod shell itself can be reused multiple times. This is different from Gotek pods where the entire pod including the coil is discarded when worn out.

What wattage should I use with the Minican 3 Pro?

The included 0.8 ohm Minican mesh coil performs best between 13 and 15W for MTL vaping with nic salt e-liquid. This is the sweet spot for flavour clarity and coil longevity. Lower settings (5 to 10W) produce less vapour and a cooler draw. Higher settings (16 to 20W) produce warmer vapour and a slightly airier draw but consume more battery and shorten coil life. Start at 13W and adjust to taste.
