About Vaporesso GTi coils
GTi is Vaporesso's sub-ohm coil platform for tanks and higher-powered devices. The dual mesh design uses two parallel mesh strips rather than a single coil element, distributing heat more evenly across the e-liquid contact surface. This improves flavour clarity, reduces hot spots and extends coil life compared to single mesh designs. Both the 0.2 and 0.4 ohm variants use the same GTi press-fit connection and are interchangeable in compatible tanks without any adaptor.
The 0.2 ohm coil suits high-wattage DTL vaping at 40W and above for large, warm clouds. The 0.4 ohm coil suits RDTL vaping at more moderate wattages for a balance of flavour and vapour. For both coils, high-VG shortfill e-liquid at 3mg to 6mg is the recommended pairing. Priming the coil by dripping e-liquid directly onto the mesh before first use and allowing 5 minutes to saturate avoids dry hits and extends coil life.

Vaporesso GTi coils: frequently asked questions
What is the difference between GTi and GTX coils?
GTi coils are designed for sub-ohm tanks and high-powered devices such as the iTank, iTank 2 and Target 200. They are larger format coils covering DTL and RDTL vaping at 25W to 80W and above. GTX coils are designed for the Luxe X and Luxe XR pod range and the GTX One Pro kit, covering a wider resistance range from 0.2 ohm up to 1.2 ohm for both pod and tank use. GTi and GTX coils are not interchangeable. Always check your device's coil platform before ordering.
How long do GTi coils last?
Most vapers get one to two weeks from a GTi coil with regular use. Lifespan depends on wattage, frequency of use and e-liquid sweetener content. Running the coil at the lower end of the recommended wattage range extends life. High-sweetener e-liquids shorten life by leaving caramelised residue on the mesh. A darkening colour in the e-liquid and a noticeably burnt or muted flavour are the main signs that replacement is due.
