Vaping At Festivals: What You Need To Know

Music festivals offer the very best of summer: sunshine, quality time with friends, and great vibes all around! If you’re a regular festival goer, you’ll know just how important it is to plan ahead in terms of what you want to bring.

Disposable vapes have become a hugely popular item to take to festivals due to their compact size and convenience. Not only are they discreet, but they can be easily slipped into your backpack or or even popped into your pocket ready for a quick puff whenever you need it!

Alongside disposable vapes, there’s plenty of other compact product options to choose from, but before we give you our recommendations and other top tips, let’s go over everything you need to know about vaping at festivals.

Can I take vaping products to festivals?

Yes, you absolutely can!

There’s currently no law that says you can’t take e-cigs along with you to a festival - this law is likely to stay the same as most if not all festivals are held in outdoor spaces.

That’s not to say that you should vape absolutely everywhere at a festival, however. Again, while there are now laws dictating where you can and can’t vape at outdoor festivals, it’s always a good idea to bear vaping social etiquette in mind.

For example, if you’re in a crowd, be mindful of how much vapour you’re producing, particularly if you’re using a larger sub-ohm kit. To avoid annoying your fellow festival goers, try practicing stealth (discreet) vaping when you can.

Be wary that rules will differ from festival to festival, so make sure to check online or contact the festival organiser beforehand if you’re in doubt. The majority of festivals allow vaping outside, but some may offer dedicated smoking and vaping areas instead.

Which vaping supplies should I take to a festival?

Knowing which vape products you’ll need to take all comes down to what type of vaper you are.

For heavier vapers, we recommend bringing along a few replacement components such as coils, pods and tanks. Don’t forget about packing a good supply of e-liquids too, as it's unlikely that you’ll be able to purchase any more while you’re there.

Here’s a top tip: if you’re someone who regularly vapes with shortfill e-liquids, make sure to mix them with nicotine before you go. That way, you’ll be able to both save time and make more room in your bag for other important items!

How do I charge vaping devices at festivals?

So, you’ve packed your vape device, e-liquid flavours and a few replacement components, but what about a charger?

Well, whether or not you’ll need to bring one all depends on how long you plan to stay at the festival for and what type of device you’re bringing.

From sub-ohm kits to pod kits, all e-cigarettes with the exception of disposable vapes and devices with removable batteries require some form of charger.

For kits that do need to be powered up, you’ve got a few ways to get round this while at a festival. One way is to find out whether the festival you’re going to provides a locker service with built-in USB chargers.

If all else fails, you can always bring a handy portable charger with you. These chargers are usually no bigger than vaping devices themselves, making them equally easy to carry around!

Planning to take a kit which uses removable batteries? There’s no need to worry about when and how you’ll charge your device. Simply bring a couple of fully charged spare batteries with you, store them in a secure battery case, and you’ll be all set.
